Roads and Flowers - Creative Places, Sheffield

Eventus is pleased to announce Matt Bell, Director of Education and External Affairs at CABE (Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment) is speaking at the Creative Places Conference. Matt will be discussing the impact our surroundings have on wellbeing and reporting on a recent MORI poll, commissioned by CABE and undertaken in Sheffield, that asked the question, “Does Beauty Matter in the Big Society?”.

And for those interested in seeing first-hand some of the changes to the public realm that have taken place to Sheffield in recent years, Andrew Skelton, Public Art Officer at Sheffield City Council will be meeting delegates at Sheffield Train Station on the morning of the conference to take them on a 25 minute guided stroll to the conference venue.  The walk will let you see a part of Sheffield that you may not usually visit and get to know each other at the beginning of what we hope will be a day of critical exchange and interesting debate.
