The programme will include a Flickr site documenting artwork from Creative Places projects across the city, a visioning document and a conference organised jointly with New Start Magazine. The date for the conference (and your diary!) is Wednesday 15 September 2010.
Confirmed speakers include:
Richard Russell - Director, Strategic Partnerships Arts Council England
David Barrie - Urban Renewal and Real Estate Creative and producer of Channel 4’s Castleford Project
Emily Miller – Director, Meanwhile Project
Sam Thompson – Researcher and Consultant, Centre for Well Being, New Economics Foundation
This one day masterclass will draw on the experience of Creative Places in Sheffield in the context of policy, social and economic change and explore the role of culture within the local authority improvement agenda. Conference bookings will open shortly on www.creativeplaces2010.wordpress.com and there will be 10 free places for artists with a particular interest in regeneration and renewal. If you would like to receive information about the conference, be informed when bookings are open, or would like to apply for a free place please send a blank email to janet@eventus.org.uk with 'Creative Places Conference' in the title bar and we will email you shortly with further details.
